Pesca Responsable has ten years of experience advising civil organizations, government institutions, producer associations and private companies in different topics, including:
- The design of public policies for the management of natural resources;
- The design of monitoring programs for productive activities in protected natural areas and their areas of influence;
- The establishment of improvement projects for artisanal and industrial fisheries;
- The design and supervision of procurement policies and purchase agreements;
- The certification processes on social and environmental responsibility; and
- The design and implementation of traceability and chain of custody systems.
Maricela Flores
General Manager
Biochemical Engineer with a specialty on management of marine resources by the ITESM-Campus Guaymas. Maricela has twenty years of experience on projects management. She was an official on the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas in the Gulf of California Islands Flora and Fauna Protection Area and special projects director for Terra Peninsular AC in Ensenada, Baja California.
Juan Manuel García
Director
Biochemical Engineer with a specialty on management of marine resources by the ITESM-Campus Guaymas. Specialized on wild and protected areas management by the Colorado State University and Integrated Coastal Zone Management by the University of Rhode Island. He has master’s degree studies on regional development and environment from the Universidad Iberoamericana. He has 25 year of experience in the design and implementation of projects for the sustainable management on fishing resources. He was deputy director in the fisheries division for Sustainable Fisheries Partnership and is author on technical-scientific divulgation papers in topics related with fishing activities and the sustainable management of natural resources that have been the basis for the design and implementation of public policies in different producing and exporting countries of seafood products.
Juan Carlos García
Project Coordinator
Bachelor on Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California. He has five years of experience on projects management and analysis of spatial information based upon geographic information systems. In addition, he has three years of experience in the establishment of seafood supply chains for the high-end foodservice sector incorporating the principles of good manufacture practices and risks analysis and critical control points. He was an adviser of new entrepreneurs in the business incubator Empreser from Baja California and administrative manager in De Garo Ja Mat, a company dedicated to the distribution of Seafood and agriculture products for the main consume centers in Mexico.
